The 1978 XS showed well this weekend at the 10th Annual Manitoba Antique Motorcycle Rally, held near East Selkirk Manitoba.

It's a small rally with only 30 bikes, Brits, US, Japs and European.

First Place, Best Asian

Hi, i just stumbled upon this site. Looks to be quite active = Good!

My bike is a 1976 that is being transformed into a scrambler / flattrack / bobber / hotrod kinda thing.

I wont know really till i see it finished.

It will be running a cleaned frame, very basic electrics, Enduro tires, Cafe seat, no front fender, Konis, 2in1 header W Ducati silencer, rearsets, flattrack style bar, cross grips and gas. original tank, bandit 1200 front brakes ducati discs. rear wheel is from a TX750= bigger brake, the rear swing has an underbracket for strength (and looks).

I have the parts to build a 1045cc engine (Crank, rods, pistons, cylinders, carbs, ti. valves) but that will be a future project.

I am not much of a finish guy, so it will definitely not be a show/shine bike.

Nice work. Is that a lock at the top back of the sissy bar? The bracketing on the front, front pegs/controls? Can you link me to the rear signals?
