ugly motorcycles

there were some guys that took the 502 and modified it.The bike had 750 HP. They completely shredded a new tire and never moved forward.Dumb idea.

Yup the reverse torque is supposed to be a real issue on V-8 Bikes that have the crank inline with the wheels, the horizontally mounted don't have that problem but are much harder to deal with .... I wouldn't wann'a have to try and hold one of them up at a stop sigh ! LOL
or drive on a gravel road ! .... HAHAHAH!

Vmax is the Aztek of the motorcycle world. Might work if you're The Rock though.

Ugly, yeah, but the Vmax made motorcycle history! It was the first Japanese bike to be cloned by Hardly Ableson. Hardly couldn't design a motor for the VRod; had to get it from Europe. As far as ugly goes, it was a perfect match.

as you all know m/cycles in aust are not cheap so its intresting to see a women I know trying to sell (by word of mouth only at the moment) a 1993 virago 750, its been in good storage for the last 7 yrs , and was running but with carb problems (inlet manifolds) the bike is in very , very good condition needing only new tyres and carbs fixed up , she only wants $500 aust . iv tried to help her sell it but all the reactions have been the same .. no . they are a good bike but fk their ugly (I'm not trying to sell it here but just showing peoples reactions to it) almost giving it away but people arnt intrested purely because its so ugly

If that's the picture you're using to sell it... I got just one nibble on a bike on Craigslist with a random picture. Then I decided to make a sexy picture and I made a new ad, and people were all over it. Sold it like the next day.

ha ha , mate I wouldn't want to scare them off , this was one of a series of photos I emailed to a mate , hes picked up a earlier model (1986?) but thought some of the parts might have interchanged (ie charging system etc ) but he knocked it back as being into good a cond to wreck but to ugly to keep .. go figure

people are strange ...I would'a bought it nothing wrong with a varago except no kicker and the starters SUX big time !
....LOL
......
Bob.......

Virago starter problems were cured by installing the later 1100 case halves so the improved solenoid equipped starter could be used on the older engines. I believe you had to swap out the stator, rotor and flywheel. Apparently the 920 has a hole bored in it's case so that the later starter can be used with much fewer mods. The Euro TR-1 which was based on the same generation motor had the solenoid equipped starter from the get-go, but North American Viragos had to make due with the old XS spiral gear and wishbone spring setup.
