Basically the previous owner(s) had completely buggered the head on one of the mixture screws on my 1980 bs34 carbs. I tried a few of the usual methods, lh drill an ultimately driving a small screwdriver into the chewed up remains. Nada. Does anyone know the thread size of the mixture...

Went to fit a coil from Heiden tuning today. Bike has been missing and the coil ( and moulded in wires) looked original. I wired as per the instructions .... And no sparks .... I only worked the kickstart a few times to check..... I put the old coil back on and have no sparks from that now...

38mm o/d downpipes very similar to my OEM system (apart from no balance pipe) Not sure what MOTAD will retail these at or when they will be available.

Ok. So I am hearing that low resistance is indicative of failing wiring and it's just going to get worse....I guess the hunt is on for another standard rotor. The Permanent Magnet thing, for later bikes, requires a new ignition system to go with it. That's not trivial pennies ....
