Went to fit a coil from Heiden tuning today.
Bike has been missing and the coil ( and moulded in wires) looked original.
I wired as per the instructions .... And no sparks .... I only worked the kickstart a few times to check.....
I put the old coil back on and have no sparks from that now either.
Bike is a 1980 SE in standard form and I assume this new coil has somehow cooked my ignition module and/or other components in only couple of engine revolutions ... Is there anyway to test this ....
An expensive lesson in aftermarket coils....as it looks like I cannot easily replace the TCI ...
