Pamco advance rod slop, is this normal?

This is my second time installing my Pamco setup, I'm just wrapping up after replacing my valve seals. I never noticed it the first time but now, with everything tightened up, my advance rod slides laterally abt 1/16". Is this normal? To clarify, if I'm sitting eye level to the side of the...

Well, I got super lucky. Once I pulled the head off the bolt WAS sticking up past the surface of the cylinders, abt 1/8". This was just enough for me to get a good grip w a pair of vice grips. The bolt spun out no problem. WHEW!! That could have been so much worse.. I had planned...

It's almost freezing today so I won't be out in the shop, I plan on pulling everything apart again tomorrow. New head gasket should be here Thursday so maybe we can start moving forward again this coming weekend. Holy shit, look at this. Replacing valve seals through the tappet covers while...

Steps for replacing the valve stem seals ?

Pushrod seal? Am I missing something? I would like to know what seals you are referring to though bc, my top end is apart right now, I just replaced my valve seals. Are there other seals on the top end besides camshaft seals, that I am unaware of?

Hit them with some penetrant and let them sit. If they still wont come out, you can try this, just be careful. Taken from http://www.amckayltd.com/carbguide.pdf

Idling up on its own is sometimes indicative of an air leak. Spray carb cleaner around the carb boots, butterfly shafts and around the choke plates. Listen for changes in rpms. It can take a second sometimes to get a response so remember to wait a good 5 seconds or so between squirts.

eBay Now I know I messed up. Bigtime. Snapped the little bolt at the back of the head. The rest of it is in the cylinder block. Yes I was using a torque wrench set at 16 ft/lbs. What do I do?
