Im running into the same problem. A friend of mine did a top end job and and when we got it running the pamco was all the way to the end of the adjustment. It felt like if I could move it a bit more she would run like a scalded dog.
I had a mechanic friend do a top end rebuild on my 81. I brought the motor home and put the bike together. I put a charged battery in put a bit of fuel in and then kick and kicked till i was tired out. I moved the pamco and it fired but wouldnt run right. I had the pamco all the way to one end...
I,m in to hotrods as well and all of my cars are low. I love the look of a low car or bike, but with my cars you might scrape the pavement but with your bike I think its going to be your body scraping the pavement. I really dig the look but I think I would raise it a bit. Just my two cents.
