In order to retain the stock brake light switch in the original location, I am going to have two braided brake hoses made up. I see disk brakes in '76 and earlier used a steel pipe at the terminal end of the brake hose. I have a question for those who have experience specifying hydraulic hoses...

Does anyone know how the length of Banggood brake lines are measured? Does that company use the total length, the center to center distance, or just the line between the banjo fittings?

Thanks for the information & pictures... It would be nice to eliminate some of the joints using a single line, but I think I will go with braided upper and lower hoses for the sake of appearance & ability to use the stock brake switch

It would look cleaner, wouldn't it. I'll need to look at the routing more closely, now that I am aware of the banjo bolt option.

Thanks for the suggestion. I suppose the best location for this banjo bolt would be at the MC. Looks like I would have to extend the wiring, but you cant have everything.

Thanks 5T. The needle jet o-rings were replaced two seasons ago when I treated the carbs to a good cleaning & the float levels were checked with a sighting tube. I'm glad to hear that a lean condition at high RPM wont poke a hole through the pistons. I am going to try one more adjustment...

Thanks for the feed back CDN. I guess dropping the needle another step would follow the traditional recipe. My concern is that would affect the pilot jet circuit (which up to now has been ok) & run into a whole new set trial and error adjustments there - I sure would like to avoid that...
