Hey everyone. I know I’m not the first to ask about this, and have found lots of other threads on the subject but I still can’t tell if it’s present or missing in my case.

My lower case was split and cleaned by another mechanic last year so I’m not sure if this part was missed on reassembly or if it’s still pressed in there.

Would you be able to take a look at the attached pics and weigh in on whether you think it is in there or not?

I can see some oil gallery holes that are open and I’m not sure if these are supposed to be blocked by the plug or not.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

Additionally :) I just pulled the shift shaft and found the hole is about 16.5 mm or roughly 5/8 inches deep.

At this point I’m thinking no additional plug is required and this is just a normal path for oil to travel and that hole should not be blocked. Please let me know if this is wrong. Thx guys.
