handlebar mount blinkers!!!!!!! they look like a bar end weight , and you only need 2 instead of four. you can run the wires inside of the bars and get rid of the extra wires running back. its clean and look great!!

    Barn find CB650

Be careful. I have one in my shop and everything it needs you have to get from honda, and half of the stuff is discontinued. they only made that bike from 79-82 and rare doesn't always mean good. But if your looking for a project, it looks like a good start!

Grandpa's axe completed: Before and after

So as it stands, if everyone is wondering what year it is. The Frame, forks, headlight, seat and swingarm are a 1980, 76 wheels, head pipes are 77 with norton pipes, 75 tank, 72 side covers, taillight, and turn signals, and last but not least a 78 engine. I took all the parts I wanted on all...

    counter shaft seal ,78

If the bike has lot of miles on it and the seal is leaking I'd replace everything. (seal and sleave) That being said if the seal doesn't want to budge with a pick or small screw driver, if that doesn't work, take a self tapping sheet metal screw and drill it into the metal part of the seal...

    Are my pistons still good?

Any time I see this in my shop, I would tell you what I'd tell my customer. quote: there is damage. there is a chance this could work, but not the route I'd go down. at min. new valve cut job, guides, and valves, but I can't gurantee the work if we are going to do half the job.

issues with lacing rear wheel...( mikesxs rim)

The only thing I can think of is that you have to make sure the outer spoke is "on top" of the inner spoke, I just laced a 19 and 18 inch from mikes xs and they both went together without a hickup. good luck.

    electrial work

So I'm going to be at that great spot in the build that everyone loves, Wiring!:banghead: I'm starting from nothing, building the harness myself. The ignition will be points, and I want everything to work because this bike will be for my Mom. My main question is, if I install only one fuse...

    Breather Help

I second that. Cotton K&N filters or other cotton types let to much dirt thru. I'm always adjusting valves on all types of bikes because of them. Stick stock if you can, and if your going to a "clamp on the carb" type use foam and obviously oil it. also you will need to rejet. I started with...

    Brass sealing washers

Hey I already had built my engine, but has anybody used the Brass sealing washers from Mikes xs and had luck with them. I just don't want to get done with this project and have a oil leaking valve cover over some washers when I could of used stock sealing washers. Thanks
