Looking for any kind of fender. I have a bobber and I'm wanting something to cut down. I don't care about paint, rust, or anything cosmetically wrong. The only thing I don't want is something with holes in it.

Well I just replaced the pickup coil a week ago and it cost me an arm and a leg. So I've decided to get rid of all these 30yo parts and get something new.

I know I'm going to sound stupid but does the Pamco ignition replace everything? I have a 1980 xs and thinking of switching over to the Pamco system. Do I need to run a battery, do I need my igniter box? It seems like a much easier way to go instead of trying to find used parts for the ignition...

I've started to rewire my 1980 650 special with TCI ignition. The deeper I get the more I learn how much the other guy has hacked on it. If there's someone out there with a complete harness for a reasonable price I may consider just starting with that.

Yeah I got the coil on and it started right up. I was just wondering if anyone makes a new one? There's no telling how long this one may last.

Pickup coil is bad. Picked up a used one today but haven't installed yet. Is anyone making a new one of these? I've been told that they're discontinued. Surely to god there's someone making parts for this thing. Or do I have one of "those"bikes. Damn I hope not.

Well I'm waiting on a manual in the mail but what I've read it says its suppose to be between 10.5-15k. Of course that could be incorrect.

I'm gettin 23000 ohms through my secondary windings of the ignition coil. The primary is in spec. Connected to either end of the spark plug wires is how I understood it. So it's looking like a coil issue. Where's the best place to get a stock replacement?

Pulled plugs, cleaned, checked gap, and reinstalled. Same thing. Backfire, won't start.

Can that cause the backfire on kick start? It has brand new plugs in it and are gapped properly. I did notice that when I pulled the plugs that the left side was carboned up after only a little riding and the right side was clean.

No mods to the bike. Could it have jumped time? And if so could it have messed anything up? How hard are these bikes to put back in time? I'm a car mechanic but I have no experience with motorcycles.

I'll definitely post pics and see what I find. I've talked to a couple of my friends and they seem to think the sprocket may have had the teeth rolled over seeing as the chain that the previous owner had on there was really worn and stretched. Either way the cover has to come off and I'll see...

This almost seems stupid but I replaced the chain on my 650 and now the damn thing won't roll forward in neutral. In reverse its fine. I feel like I left adequate slack in the chain but could it be too tight? Or maybe bound in the case? I can't see that anything is off the sprocket but I'd love...
