    My engine idles high once it gets hot. Idles around 3000 when in neutral or clutch is pulled in. Carbs are stock for an 80. No baffles in pipes. Runs fine otherwise just annoying at stops. :shrug:

    I picked up a 1981 motor to swap out with mine(no compression in the left side), it has good compression but I noticed the valves are caked pretty bad in carbon. I can only assume the pistons are just as bad. Has anybody used seafoam to do a quick cleaning? and if so how well did it work?
