    HELP!! no oil to top end

    I just discovered that it seems I'm not getting oil to the top end of my engine. Thinking oil pump, but what else could it be? I oil tube and banjo's are clear. New oil filter, gasket etc.

    Can anyone tell me exactly what causes the dreaded can't find neutral issue? I installed new clutch discs, wire wheeled the plates, installed new shifter springs, new Mike's xs bearing and the clutch doesn't disengage correctly and can't find neutral(will shift directly to 2nd or down to first)...

    carbs flood as soon as petcocks are open...help!

    So the issue seems to have cleared itself, bike's runnin great, no flooding. Don't know what did it. I tried the petcock off, remove floatbowl plug, open petcock and got nothing but clean fuel on either carb. Thanks for the suggestions. You guys are truly "Guru's".

    just upgraded to electronic ignition. Timing is right. Was running fine on points ignition.Bike had been sitting for about 5 yrs. engine and carbs were rebuilt at that time and bike ran good.Floats are @ 24mm and are not clogged. no other adjustments were made.     I did the reg/rec mod per Pamco Pete's recomendation. although the reg is a MPE VR1010SB from napa. it was listed for a 1975 jeep cherokee. wired it using the existing connector from the stock regulator.     gggGary hit it right on the head. I didn't know the "bell mouth" was the same on the later bs38's, now it all makes sense.
