I'm finishing up my winter engine rebuild and got the old girl fired up yesterday. Only problem is when trying to set timing I forgot that I deleted the tach and have no idea where the rpms are. So whats the best way to go about doing the timing and setting the Pamco?

From what I've seen this model is fairly rare, I'm not sure what year it's from. (I believe an 80??) The chrome is in great shape. A much better looking design then the bulkier other racks IMO. Both the rubber grommets are uncracked and look good , mounts really easily. Looking for $75 shipped OBO

I'm doing a top end rebuild, new guide, gaskets, rings but I'm curious if I need to replace my cam chain. I know it's probably the best idea to just replace it but how do I know when it needs to be replaced? Is there any way to check while I have the engine apart?
