I'm finishing up my winter engine rebuild and got the old girl fired up yesterday. Only problem is when trying to set timing I forgot that I deleted the tach and have no idea where the rpms are. So whats the best way to go about doing the timing and setting the Pamco?

You shouldn't really need a tach. Set the timing at idle and then check that it's not over-advancing when revved. If it is, retard the idle setting a little bit.

Hate to bring up an old thread and possibly ask a stupid question. But I am about to time my bike tonight. It does not have a tach. So from 3K RPM to 12K (or full rpm) the timing should not go above the full advance notch? So the timing wont change in that range? And if it does, stop the engine and rotate the rotor counterclockwise?
Thanks, I just want to make sure I dont destroy this thing

That's pretty much correct. Do you still have the tach drive in the case? If so just get a tach and cable, hook it up for testing then unhook and cap the drive for show.
