Getting ready to hone my cylinders. Just wondering if anyone has made , seen, or used a torque plate for their cylinders?

Im sure it isnt a uncommon thing, i just cant find any video of people with a stock bore size XS and a shell#1. I see mostly 700s and 750s that are cammed. Im just trying to get a feel on how rowdy a stock bore XS with 250 /250 on 100 will act. Thoughts?

ive got a gas tank, petcock, bars, seat, seat grab bar, and the whole TCI ignition including the charging system. Its all of an 81 XS650

so far from my own research i have found some engines specs and 2 different posted compression ratios for the 1981 xs650. i would like to know all of the technical specs if possible. i have searched this forum and others and have come up inconclusive for data. These are what i have found: 75mm...

So I'm headin down the highway and all of a sudden the bike loses power, lights go out, and I'm slowing down. Like a dummy I didn't have tools with me, so there wasn't much I could've done anyway. I pulled into a parking lot after coasting about 1/4 mile, and had hell starting the bike back up...

I got the whole thing -stater -rotor -ignition box (connector is a little chewed up) -tc bros wiring harness (used)

Alright, so I've got -xs650 tank with the vacuum petcock that'll need a rebuild -a Harley or paughco tank might be a "mustang" style -stock xs650 bars -a set of drag bars (7/8) -xs650 seat in great condition Pm me if interested I just want it to go to a good home :bike:

If anyone has an extra let me know. Also if you're in the market for TCI parts I'll be pulling my system off here shortly.

Bore out the cylinders to accept a set of big bore sleeves. Has anyone done it, seen it, or heard it? All I keep finding big bore kit this and that... Posted via Mobile

Has anyone ever seen a different mechanical timing advance I.e Harley, Honda, kawasaski used in place of the oem Yamaha piece? A Harley advance seems like the most common and easy to find, driving prices way down...just saying

Has it been done? I know the brembo swap is common, so much so that there is a pre fab braket available. I have been searching and seem to have a hard time finding an answer, does anyone have a clue?

Hey guys, The tank needs some love for sure PO stripped the petcock screws and it'll need to be cleaned out and 're sealed. The seat is in awesome condition, and the bars are good too. Let me know guys!
