The hole on the hub is lined up right clutch is adjusted right, at the worm gear and lever. I used SAE 30 oil.... does that matter?

I bought these carbs, put them on my bike with straight exhaust, start it up and the thing revs so high and does not stop till i turn the keys off. Thought the engine was going to EXPLODE!!! any ideas? anyone have a diagram? thanks

I have a 1980 XS 650. I removed the Electric starter motor and sealed the hole. I now try to kick start it but it just moves the front sprocket and clutch. Does it need the Electric starter motor installed in order for it to be kick started?
