    I just created a 2012 calendar

I just created a 2012 calendar with bike pics from xs650.com. I just went through the pictures on this site and grabbed some of bike pics that caught my eye. I had a great calendar last year from 650motorcyles.com, but they seem to recycle the same bike pictures every year. So that's why I...

    Tachometer reads too fast

I have a 1980 XS650 Special. The tachometer reads too high of an RPM. At lower rpm, 2000-2500 RPM, its about 200 RPM too fast. At higher RPM, 4250, it reads about 500 RPM too fast. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Wanted - 1980 left handlebar switch assembly

I broke the turn signal solders on mine. Soldered them back on then the plastic switch broke apart. :banghead: I don't think I can fix this. So I need a new assembly I am thinking. Anybody have one? $51 from MikesXS is a little steep for me right now. Thanks, Chuck

Broken Sprocket bolts in rear mag, is this a normal issue?

Hi: I have a 1980 XS650. When I got it it had all of the rear sprocket bolts loose except for one. When I took it apart the one that was tight broke off. Another was already broken off. To make life easier I bought a used rear mag and it already had 3 broken sprocket bolts. Now I am...

    Howdy!

My brother gave me his 1980 XS650 project bike as he has another project bike and he knows I love XS650s. Got it home, did some cleaning, yanked the carbs and soaking in Pinesol (they were relly yukked up). Ordered new bronze bushings for the swing arm, ordered carb rebuild kits, Clymer...
