Would this mean that Mikes needle jets are miss-stamped?

Watch out for Mike's Needle Jets!!!

I have a great 1975xs650b that runs great but rich- I've had the carbs off many times and tried lots of things. I thought the richness might be from needle jets that may have been internally corroded from years of varnish and non use. So I ordered the needle jets that Mike said are for my...

    Pony's XS Build

My bike looked worse than yours when I picked it up (for free). Now about 600 bucks later it's my daily ride not to mention my pride and joy. Have a great time with your ride.

    Help,Losing my mind

Savage- I too have a 75 with 38's. I have pods and modified shorty mufflers, so all in all a very similar setup- (i do have a pamco ignition though which i love). I got things dialed in nicely now and just reached 105mph on a straightaway yesterday. It was fun but didn't feel safe. I can...

Carb support bracket for my pods.

Thanks grizld1 I was wondering about that very thing. I will do exactly as you suggest; after all if it weren't for the carb guide, my bike would not be nearly as fun to ride. Thanks for the great suggestions.

Carb support bracket for my pods.

Thanks for the praise. I looked everywhere for a picture of something like this but couldn't find one. I read of people using L-brackets but couldn't envision it. Talk about low-tech some metal and a bench grinder. I hope this helps other people looking to do the same.

Carb support bracket for my pods.

I have a 1975 XS650B and am putting pods on it. I know that my carbs were somewhat supported by the air-box. The 1975 BS38s are also not linked so I made up this bracket that seems to work well for stabilizing everything. I used some metal joist hanging brackets I had laying around. Thanks...

    Spark plugs

I just got the PAMCO kit from Mikesxs.com it was Part #14-0901 for my 1975 and I couldn't be happier. It was 140.00 usd. I calculated how much money I spend in beer per week; I didn't drink any for one month and my PAMCO was paid for (and I lost a little weight). I now can cross ignition...

Please tell me I didn't fry my beautiful PAMCO!!!

Two weeks ago I installed a PAMCO unit and the bike has been running like a dream. Today I was changing out a blown out indicator bulb. I turned the ignition on for less than 30 seconds to test the new bulb (the new bulb worked) and I turned the ignition back off. At that same time I swear a...

    Makeshift fork brace/mini front fender

Just a quick update- I've put about 50 miles on the bike since making this little fork brace and noticed I can now take both my hands off the bars while riding (about 35-40mph with no wobbling. Before the mod, I could coast for a short distance with no hands but would soon have to grab the bars...

    Makeshift fork brace/mini front fender

Thanks for all the kind words- I put a lot of work into this bike and it's starting to show. It sat uncovered for 18 years in some guys yard. I asked him how much and he said I could have the rusty piece of junk- That was then- this is now :)

    Makeshift fork brace/mini front fender

Thanks- I always like to spend 0$ when I can. You can come up with some pretty creative things when you a are a cheap ass.

    Makeshift fork brace/mini front fender

I had an old rusty front fender with its support braces, etc. I sort of have a mild cafe thing going on with my bike and wanted some stability up front without the huge front fender. I took the tubular supports from the old fender and welded a couple flat pieces of steel to make a mini fork...
