The engine breather branches off into two tubes, if I am going to use pod air filters what do I do with the engine breather tubes? Do I stick a filter on the end of each tube or attach a valve of some kind? Thank you.

Hello there, new to the scene. Just bought my first 82 xs650. Started replacing some of the parts and had a question. I just ripped the air boxes off and replaced them with K&N air filters. Is it going to hurt anything if I just leave the breather tube hanging, not hooked to anything?
