1/4 ball bearing location

I took off the outside cover to change my alternator and a 1/4 bearing fell out-where does it go?

goes in the clutch actuator. it used to be crimped in there, but wears out, then falls out when u take the left cover off. stick a glob of bearing grease in the actuator, then that will hold the bearing in. once its together, it wont fall out.

It's a 5/16" or #10 ball bearing that goes in the clutch push rod control mechanism receiver between the worm gear and the push rod itself

Be happy you noticed and found it. Take time to clean out the worm gear mechanism,
inspect the nylon worm gear receiver for cracks regrease, assemble and adjust. Best, Blue
