My bike didnt have them when I got it so I have no idea.Can someone w/ a 70/71 post some pics on how they mount?Thanks

I have not seen your xs2 air boxes
There is a diff 'tween xs1, 1b and the 'lectric start XS2, XT650 a bigger battery box forced an air filter size reduction.
There's also a dent in the rear fender on the later bikes, Mama Yama was fighting for room.

I don’t know if these help you or not, but these are my XS2 boxes.
Btw, ignore those filters. I only used the foam from them.
