That's a head turner, very nice!

I've just started riding this bike & it feels like it wants to 'stand up' in the bends, anyone had this experience ?

bushings & bearings fore & aft all in good condition & well greased, the feeling is like counter steer, where the bike is leaning left into the bend & you feel the need to push the left hand away (steer right) I am used to the XJ series bikes & they sort of fold into the bend.

Get the rear up (shocks with eye-to-eye length of 13-1/4" to 14") and the nose down slightly; drop clamps on fork tubes by 1/2" and experiment with height, making small changes (don't go too far or steering will become unstable). Steering will become much quicker and more linear. Are you using bronze bushings in the swingarm and tapered roller bearings in the steering head? It's a waste of time to attempt other suspension upgrades until those things are done.
