I've just got to many. I did this for myself but making a bobber, have a 75 and just picked up a Honda turbo. (along with my YG1, 1987 venture and 1976 suzuki) Can't ride them all.
History, picked this up as a non running bike, no compression but turned over. Had 9696 miles on the odometer and brand new tires.Thought it might be a easy stuck valve or rings. It was a bent valve, no idea how it happened. I rebuild vintage jap bikes and did a couple of xs650 motor builds for tt's in the 70's.
Here's what I replaced.
Rebuilt forks with new seals, gators, bushings, spectro oil
rebuilt all calipers and master cylinders
tapered steering bearings
Pulled the engine, new pistons, rings valves and seats. Of course new gaskets. Doesn't leak a drop. New starter drive system. New filters. New points. New cam chain guide. New clutch push rod bushing and seal. New gas cap gasket. New foot rest rubbers.New clutch cable. Silicone plug wires with new caps. Brass head washers.
Pod filters
MAC 2/1 exhaust. Jetted for the filters and exhaust. Runs great.
New chain
Has a 5 foot satin black paint job.
Front fender comes with it and there is a chain guard on now. I have put on a little over 2000 miles since the rebuild, no issues.
