History of bike:
My brother bought it new in 79
Had the tank pinstriped and added King-Queen seat within the first week of riding it. He gave it to me in 85 and he upgraded to a bigger bike(1100 Shadow). He was killed in a motorcycle accident in 88(hence the sentimental attachment) In 7 years I put 10k miles on. I got married an started a family 91. The bike sat for 20 years in my heated garage. Would take it on a putt through the neighborhood every few years. My kids got through high school and the itch to ride came back. I restored the brakes, carbs, ignition, tires. From 2011 to 2021 I rode it and averaged 700 miles a year. The tank is clean. This bike runs good with great throttle response.
Needs:
some carb adjustment
I need to turn up the idle speed screw to keep idle. As it warms up I back of idle screw.
Had small oil drip(3-4 drops after a ride)
It is time to part with it. Would like to see someone restore it to original showroom condition
