1981 XS650 Special in Chicago (SOLD)
For Sale: 1981 Yamaha XS650 Special II
I bought this bike last year with the hopes of making it a project bike. I rode it around stock last summer and planned on doing the work over the winter. Due to some health issues, I wasn't able to put in the time and now I think it might be time for me to move on. I did start working on it so in it's current state it won't start BUT it won't take much to get it running again. The air box and side covers have been removed but will be included in the sale. I planned to put pod filters on so, as of now, the carbs are off of the bike. All that is needed to make this run is to clean and jet the carbs. All extra parts that I have, including a manual, go with the bike. The charging system on the bike works, I repaired that last year and has good compression in both cylinders. The bars and mufflers were installed by the PO. The bike has a clean Illinois title in my name.
O.D.O. 22,842 (Speedo and odometer do not work because the bike did not have a speedo cable on it when I bought it. There is a new cable included with the sale)
