72 side covers

I originally bought my 72 to Bob it. Now I'm having second thoughts. So I'm in the market for some side cover's. But since I don't have any, I don't know how they mount. From what pic's I seen, it looks like the front might mount to the air box's. Do they? Could someone post a pic of how they mount. I do have the stock air box's, but I'm running the Mike's XS pod's.

Do you guy's think I could run the side cover's and still use the pod's. Or will I need to run the original air box. Now I just need to find the side covers. Thanks.

They attach to the frame, not the air boxes. So yes, you can run the pods with the side covers...

There's a rubber grommet that presses in that hole for vibrations against the carbs. Not used for mounting...
