73 tx650

[CHAZZ]

my 73 tx 650 isnt playing,when i first got it it had stood since about 1993 or even longer,it turned over off he button with fresh battery,so engine nice and free,i managed to get it to fire and get a little blurt of noise out of it,i then got the carbs cleaned and added new filters but now if you turn the engine over off the button the right hand plug gets all sooty not an oil soot more a dry soot,and engine refuses to run,but on the odd occasion it will fire,any ideas cheers chazz

Hey, CHAZZ. Yep, dry soot is an overrich condition. Gotta check that right carb...
