Wanted - 77-79 XS that runs, near Wisconsin

All I'm looking for is a runner. I want a project that I can make my own. I had another bike lined up, but unfortunately stuff happens and I got screwed. I'm not interested in buying one across the country, and I'm not willing to buy anything I can't test first. It has to be road worthy since I want to ride it home to Oshkosh, WI (not just able to limp home). I don't care about rust, dents, pitting, etc. I do care about bent frames, bum electrical, or iffy running status. If you are planning on asking more than $1000, either the bike is too nice, or you're simply out of my price range.

Any leads would be appreciated.

That 82 is a nice looking bike How many miles?

The bike has about five thousand miles on it. It spent twelve years in a storage shed so that is why the miles are low. It has new Mike's shocks and the needle and jet kit. The extra jets are included so if you want to go to pods you should have the jets you need. New battery last year.
Paint and chrome are not the best. Fuzzy from sitting so long.
I have put about two thousand miles on the bike since I have owned it. Runs and shifts very well.

I wish I had the cash right now, that bike would be sold.
