The '81 SH has cast wheels with the rear drum, which I know a lot of bobber/chopper guys prefer.

I wish the seller luck. My 81SH is in MUCH better shape, and I haven't even had an offer. Not to mention that I am asking $550 less than he is.

Well, it's kinda hard to tell about the shape from those cheesy little CL photos. But the price is OBO and the bike has only 6k miles, so I was figuring it was worthwhile passing it along.

I just sold an '81 SH a few weeks ago. About 14k miles, a good runner and in reasonably good shape. It was a "20-footer" I'd say. I got $1,000 for it. Seems to me you shouldn't have much trouble selling yours if you're asking only $850. Best of luck, though. Without looking at it, I'd say yours is priced to sell. Here in Houston, it would most likely sell quickly at that price.

When I was looking for an XS I'd include Houston in my search efforts. What few XSs were for sale were usually sold quickly. There were also ALOT of Wanted ads for XSs.
