one of mine crumbled. mike's doesn't sell them and doesn't promise his will even fit the carb...

haven't found anything i can use in a hardware store either

That will help me too.. thanks gary.. Now I can get my GS1000 running.. all I need are 4 o-rings for the air screws that I've been lazy about finding.

I think the reason that Mike's won't garrantee the fit, as most can't either, is that when they make the carbs, the hole is as cast. At the factory they have a selection of different size orings. As the put in the mix screws and it fits loose or tight they just get a bigger or smaller oring. The after market makes one size, it may fit most carbs but not all.

I've found a 1.5mm thick x 3mm I.D. to fit the screw just fine and go into the carb body with a little WD40 lube on the several sets of '78-'79 carbs I've fitted them to. A 25 pack from McMaster Carr costs about $3.
