I've mounted my newly fabricated brackets to connect the HF Engine Stand to my XS650 Engine.

This modified HF 1/2 Ton Engine Stand allows for horizontal flexibillity of both vertical columns. The front and rear brackets are secured to the upper case assembly engine mounts allowing for removal of the lower crankcase assembly from the upper case.

While the bracket on the engine front (upper case) is fixed to the rotating backing plate of the engine stand, the rear engine mount bracket is designed to allow for significant vertical adjustment and moderate horizontal adjustment. My goal of having a stand that can be changed from engine case level to cylinder/piston level is met.

I still plan to add a platform at the base to accomodate a scissor jack and conventional XS650 engine stand so I can raise an intact engine into position. Also plan to replace the too-short weak-sister handles on either end for engine rotation.
