dual output coil from mikes with pamco.

It's the coil with wires one piece attached, can't be separated.

1 year old barely used.

Been chasing issue of cylinder set not running well, thought it was fuel but finally swapped plug wires and the issue moved to other cylinder.

I've tried cutting the wire back and reinserting the cap (which are all 1 year old)

Could it be something else besides a bad wire/coil? The coil tests ok...

You know it has to be the coil or plug wire attachment at coil. I have had poor luck with Mike's coils but great luck with all their seals and brake kits. Maybe you should try another source for the coil. What resistance does the Pamco want to see on the primary? For TCI, some of us are using a Honda MP08 dual coil, with no regrets :)

The Pamco can run from 2.5 to 4 ohm input coils.
A lot of people run Harley type coils. Easy to find and work well. Just be sure the input ohms are ok. Accell is one brand.
Mike's Ultimate coil is a good one. It has replaceable plug wires.

Replaced coil and wires ... same symptom.

(Swapping plugs and caps made no change)

Now I'm stumped.

Signal from Pamco is just a 1 or 0 right? Sends signal to fire both sides of coil each revolution right? I'm confused how anything Upstream of the coil could be causing this but everything downstream of ignition has been swapped or replaced independently of each other
