I'm tearing down a cylinder and was wondering if it's ok to bead blast it?
Can I bead blast a cylinder as long as I hone it afterwards?

Yes and yes.
Just be sure to completely remove all valves a everything else from the head. Mark valves. And be sure to throughly clean the head of excess blasting media.
