Best options to build a 306 or 366 engine.

I have two engines. One is out of a 73 and according to the serial number is a 366 engine. The other is in a 72 and Is a 306. I am looking to build one bad ass engine. What are my best options?

I was thinking of going with a set of 700cc pistons from Hoos, upgrading the ignition and charging system(not sure which ones yet), 34mm Mikuni carbs with billet intake.

I have lots of questions.

What are my options for cams? What about valves? Should I upgrade the cam chain or tensioner?

What is the best ignition and charging system.

Will the 366 engine accept the 5th gear overdrive from mikes?

Any other opinions?
