Japanese 80-81 TX650
Splitting hairs but it i lightly different on the tank.I love the color. Decals, meh. I have a XS650E that got those. I'm going for something else.
Yes. I really like the simplicity of that. Black and gold maybe?
I love restored machines when done at a high show level. It is. But what the members think, if anything, I would like to hear. If nobody thinks anything, that's fine too, of course.
Thanks.
Thanks. I do feel a bit uncomfortable at times with some of the stuff that's shown. A good original restoration is terrific. But they're only original once and sometimes they're built to a far shinier condition than anything a factory produces. Individual taste, of course.I love restored machines when done at a high show level.
A good looking rider, on the other hand, is more than acceptable done well to your own taste.
Yeah, Id have to say thats a dead ringer right there for sure!46th Ga sent me a sample card of his magic brew. Hard to tell from my pic... but it looks identical to my eye.

LOL! I got exactly the response I was hoping for. It's been a very helpful discussion. I'm now minded to keep it very simple. Gold colour pin striping as per previous post. Base colour to be decided but probably black.Blimey, after reading through all these opinions I’m more confused than post #1.
Best do what you want really.

Yes see signThis is rather nice too, simple, no tough to apply large decals. Would be cool in black paint too.

Yes. Simple is very nice in my eye. Maybe I am just an incurable gearhead but my eye wants to wander to the motor. Hence my Red Bike has very little chrome as a distraction, just some semi polished alloy and very stunning paint. To me a single pinstripe looks nice too

Yes, I like that very much indeed.I always thought the simplicity of this scheme added a certain elegance to the bike. It is something I aimed at for the "Red Bike".
