Blue shit

I need to make a bracket for my speedo, gonna use a bracket I have as a pattern, wanna scribe a pattern on the new steel. Question is, where do I get the blue shit I've seen used to paint on the metal so the scribe marks show up?

X2 on the big sharpie..... I use videojet ink for date coders.... We had to dispose of some at work because it was out of date, works very well.....

why steel though; don't you want to use aluminum and lighten her up some? BTW we use fat tip red permanent markers at my work.
