Bucket list(What do you want to do)

Oh, man. That looks like a blast.

I want to go skydiving. My daughter and I have a deal, we are going skydiving for her 18th birthday (3 years from now).

I also want to learn to fly an airplane.

I would kick the bucket if I tried that! I just want to make a home porno with my wife! Some dream bigger than others I guess.

I hate flying, I would never strap myself to that thing.

Among others, I want to go to the Isle of Man TT. Not too hard.

I skydived once; a solo static line jump with a 'Nam era T-10 round 'chute. From 3000'. From either a Cessna 182 or 186, I forget which, that had the insides totally stripped out as if the thing had been in a fire :) Like a flying junker VW Beetle with only a driver's seat. I could have jumped for the rest of the day, but that one jump was perfect, including the landing fall, so I thought I would just savor that rather than risk breaking a leg. It's a hoot, I'll tell you.

The instructor was a 'Nam paratrooper. We were told to cover the reserve chutes with our arms on the way up in case their automatic thing fired on its own. On the way up one of the conversations was between the instructor and one of the jumpers about how a few days or weeks before the jumper's reserve had deployed inside the plane and he'd been dragged out of the plane and was caught on the tail for awhile. That's some macho shit.

As for my own bucket list....well, I'd like to go to Mars. We were supposed to land a man there in 1986. Instead we just worry about the price of gas.

Isle of Man is probably more do-able than my other item!

My Senior Drill Instructor always said "2 things fall from the sky: bird shit and fools!"

I was dumping 1st SFG guys one day in Yakima out of my Blackhawk and a Major says, " Ain't this great? I get an extra 150 bucks a month for doing this!" I sez:" I don't want to bust your bubble sir, but I get an extra 240 to stay inside the son-of-a-bitch!" He had no idea flight pay was much higher than jump pay! SUCKER!!!!!

Now thats funny!

I want to tour Ireland and England on a motorcycle, but before I do that, I want to ride old Rt 66 to the west coast like I did back in 1963.

I want to get me some steak and eggs for breakfast.:D

I always thought I would like to tour the Alps on a motorcycle. Well, on June 18, I leave Canada going to Munich, Germany. I have a BMW R1200R rented for 7 days. Plan to go to Switzerland, Austria and Italy. I hear that the Grossglockner is spectacular, so I hope to see if that is true. I'll definitely being sampling the beer in Munich, but of course, not when I'm driving.:bike:

Awesome !!! I trust / hope you'll be posting some photos here when you get back.

retiredgentleman, you are a lucky dog!!! Post pics!

I also wouldn't mind riding a big dualsport to Alaska and back, or even doing it in a 4x4. There's supposed to be a route from the Southeast to Fairbanks? that's something like 85% dirt. There was a guy in DIRT RIDER several years ago who took something like 6 months and rode from coast to coast completely on dirt with a Honda XR650L.

I believe it was Kathleen Madigan who said her boyfriend wanted to do the M/F/F thing and she asked him 'Do you REALLY want to have two women disappointed in and pissed off at you at the same time?'

I've always wanted to see the spring thaw in the Arctic Circle. Perhaps I'll catch a boat to Alaska someday & do that

Also, I've always wanted to travel around NE Europe & E Europe, but I can pretty much scrap that idea since I am no longer eligible for a passport
