Cam chain tensioner cover stuck on adjuster

Title says it all guru's, I changed my filter to the heiden tuning oil cooler filter setup tonight.
noticed that there was some black plastic (tiny bits like sand size) on my filter, now this bike has 1900 miles on it and i have ran it for less than an hour. so I dont think my guide is going, then i thought "oh yeah tensioner!" must be to tight...

well the acorn backs right out.... with the adjuster, how am i going to get the two separated?

ok stupid me It is now separated. however, the cam adjuster does not move in and out 2mm's like it should... could it be stuck? clarify: the threaded adjuster moves fine. its the rod that does not move in or out

well if it's not moving in and out it like it should.
sounds like it is too tight

Going to play w/ this tonight... Hand tight when cold, then adjust at temp

thanks much! i think I finally have it sorted! my cover bolt was stuck and it threw me a loop
