Pete, I'll get a battery from somewhere and make sure the PAMCO is lighting up right, but I'm also thinking it's doing exactly what it needs to be doing and something else is not.
Burdine, it's driving me mad that I am stuck on four wheels when I should be on two! Tomorrow I am going to pull the baffles out and look them over, maybe blow through the exhaust pipes and make sure there's nothing in there even though they spent the last 8 months hanging in the garage! Also, they are not fiberglass backed, I tried that method but it never panned out quite right so they're just cut/bent conduit tubing that's press fit in there with a screw holding it for extra protection.
I'm also going to stop at the local parts dealer and get float needles, seats, and o-rings since mine are originals and I want to make sure that this isn't a float overflow issue gone horribly wrong PLUS the float needles are the only thing left original in these carbs.
These carbs/headers ran well last year until the cam chain barfed, so it's infuriating that now that the engine is rebuilt and riding season is upon us the dang thing wants to act a fool.
If anyone else has even a far fetched guess, I'm willing to try JUST about anything at this point!
