Hi, I posed this question on a couple of UK web sites but with no success so I thought I'd send it across the pond to see if you guys can come up trumps.

This NISSIN m/c was fitted to a (single disc) XS650SE I have that was customised a few years back by a PO. I've recently transferred it to my latest XS650SH simply because it works. However, the lever is bent and I'm trying to replace it so would like to find out what bike the assembly came off.

Is the angled reservoir a big clue? The master cylinder and lever were originally black but someone has removed the paint in places.

The lever has the raised lettering "MJ6" and "M" cast into it. The ball end is hollow.

The master cylinder has a "2" above "1N" cast into it with "14" to their right. These, as well as the word NISSIN, are also raised. On another face, the figures "N29" have been stamped.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Looks like the one on my no name M/C. The little projection thet hits the brake switch and the shape of the part that pushes on the plunger look just like mine. Look on ebay there are many on there.
I have seen the same lever used on many bikes and ATV's. I think I paid around $5 for my lever.
