Hi! I have a 1979. I bought it two months ago and I recently suffered a serious drop-off in power. It won't go over 45mph. So I cleaned the carbs. I want to check the float height but I don't know which model float I have. According to what I've read online, there are 2 or 3 models it could be.

Also, in reconnecting the cover plates, I notice I don't have a tight seal.

Would you be kind enough to help me? Thanks!

- Mark

Alright, alright.
Take the crossover support that connects the top of the two carb bodies and put it ON TOP of the covers, not under them. Make sure the longer arms are pointing towards the back of the carbs.
Philly, eh? Did your mom have any kids that lived? J/k
Welcome aboard!

Yeah, yeah, I've already figured that out! My brothers and sisters survived the beatdowns. But they hated me because I was an only child. What can I say?
