Chain adjustors

Hi Guys
I started doing a dry assembly of my Kenny Roberts flat track replica today.
Came across a small issue with the chain adjustors on the standard swing arm.
On one of the adjustors the spindle whole is smaller than the other side, this doesn't make any sense and I have never come across this before on any bike I have owned or rebuilt.
This size issue relates to the original adjustors that came with the bike and also the pattern new ones that I am going to fit.
As a result the spindle doesn't pass through it all the way.
Any suggestions welcome

That is correct. They are right and left-handed parts. The threaded end of your axle is slightly smaller in diameter than the rest of the axle shaft. The adjuster with the small hole goes on there, over the threaded end, small hole to the outside. There should also be a washer attached to one side of each adjuster. That should face to the outside .....
