Sorry if this question has been answered before, I didn't manage to find what I was looking for with the search function.
I've just aquired a 1" extended, braced swingarm (believed to be Halco) that I'm intending to fit to my bike. It doesn't look like the standard chain and sprockets would stretch to accomodate the extra length. What length chain (i.e. how many links) would I need for a 520/530 chain? I would be intending to use the standard sprocket sizes which I believe are 17/34 (I'm using an 16" rear wheel).

Thanks.

With the xs's #530 chain, each link is 3/8 wide and 5/8" long. If you're adding an inch to the wheel, you need to add two inches to the chain (1" top, 1" bottom). JD nails it, four links in the chain gives you two top, two bottom, 10/8ths, or 1 1/4". should be able to take up the slack with an adjuster.
