Charging Rotors interchangeable?????

yes. The 81 will have a magnet in it to trigger the TCI. You can put ANY rotor on a Non-TCI bike, or if you are already running Pamco/Boyer/Points then it doesn't matter.

But if you are running TCI, you cannot use a NON-TCI rotor on your bike and keep the oem electronic ignition

Awesome thanks Hugh. I'm gonna rob the rotor of my 81 and put it on my 77 for now and order your PMA for my 81, and when I have more money order another one for my 77. Thanks a lot!

Yes, AFAIK all stators interchange. But the 80 up stators have mounting holes for the ignition pickup.

timing marks are the same. Not sure if an 81 stator would have the advance mark. Never hurts to confirm that TDC matches the rotor mark.

The rotor just has one mark on it, a "pointer" so to speak. The timing marks it points to are on the stator.
