Choke/Enrichener mechanism

OK beginner question here. It's my first time taking apart carbs and I think I got everything all back together. But I'm unsure of the choke. Before disassembly when operating the choke it clearly had 3 positions. Off/ half /full. Now I'm realizing it doesn't seem to have thoes positions anymore? Am I missing somthing?

If you didn't corral it when you took 'em apart, the ball is likely several townships away by now.

A good reason to work over a cookie sheet on your bench.

If you can't find the ball bearing, give us a shout.
I have a collection of ball bearings for just this reason.
I buy 25 of this or that one, and have 24 left in my stock

In the '80 BS34 set I'm doing now, I found two, one in each carb. If you only have one set, make sure you put it in the left carb. I don't think there are detents in the choke rod where it passes through the right carb.
