Have an 81, bs34. Left plug has been sooty while the right side is brown. Looking around and found the left choke nut backed out. I know the spring is giving tension to the plunger but is it enough to cause a rich mixture?
solder, or brase? Cant wait for the post of "snapped off my custom idle mix screw, now cant get it out" thread.
How often do you have to tweak your idle mix?
Solder. No there won't be any thread with broken mix screws. I did buy extras to throw in after they're dialed in. First time using these carbs since I bought the bike years ago so that's the only time I'll touch the screws.
