Does any body know what size this circlip is
I know I will need to try and fix my starter again at next oil change but buying circlips from Yamaha is just too expensive
I have the part #
99009-17400-00 from Patzilla but can't seem to find anywhere where someone one lists the specs
I'm going to place an order from McMaster-Carr and thought I could get some of these
too
It's the circlip #9 in the diagram
Thanks Mike

You have a dealer close to you Mike? That's a common circlip. Moon Motorsports has it for a buck and a quarter. That's pretty cheap.

I should have bought a few when I was out there last spring
I don't know why always assume if I get the part # off a Yamaha website it has to come from a Yamaha dealer:doh:
Thanks !!

Any of those others on the map close to you? I expect they all have 'em.

St. Joseph MN one is just a couple miles from here
I thought I paid a lot but evidently not ( maturity kicking in again  )

I've never had any trouble with that type of ring. The E-rings yes, they break or go flying off into never never land, lol.

I somehow managed to stretch my last one to where it wouldn't stay on when I hit the starter button
