coil wiring??

ok I know I know this but have to ask I have 2 new coils they are not marked
which is + and - or does it matter ?? 2 new high out put 3 ohm coils for my 277 rephase

It does matter, but not in a big way. Idealy, you want the voltage to the spark plug to be negative for a hotter spark. That means that the polarity has to be correct or else you will get a positive voltage. Do you have the Green coils from MikesXS?

Here is a way to test for the correct negative voltage to the spark plug.

thanks pete no they are v-tech's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtech-Angle...rcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35d6caac44 there was a set on my H/D and worked great.( I don't have it any more or I'd check it.) ( I think they are a green monster coil copy)
