considering a front end change... need opinions

Well i got my stretched out chopper with an 8 inch over Girder front end on it right now.

Heres my.issue. I love the look of it as it is. But i want to do the re phase and big bore next winter, i already have VM 34s and Gordon Scott high pipes, it should be a fairly rockin bike when its all said and.done...


Should i swap the 8 inch over Girder for a stock front end?? Or should i just man up and ride er as i built it??

Don't want a slow steering terrible handling scoot... especially when I start doing motor hop ups

I have 3 Kawasaki triples for cafe racers, I always wanted a chopper

Well your bike has the chopper look. I reckon choppers aren't the best corner carvers but at least if you did the engine mods you'll have a smooth ride going in a straight line

Thinking the horizontal plane of the engine and the oil level should be considered on a rise like that.......or not. Personally I wouldn't go more than two over.

The girder completes the look of the bike IMHO. If going with smaller forks, get springers 4+ over would look good too.

It's not going to suddenly become a GSX-1300R after those mods.
You'll be just fine, dont mess with that front end, she's a beaut clarke.
