Cruzin image ebay pistons

Partly due to a difference in the mechanic's training? in the 60's a MC shop hire "had fixed my tractor, or rebuilt the chevy motor." today most have been through some sort of "mechanic's tech school course" ? So basic lefty loosy righty tighty is left out. also manuals are more "modular" One for basic procedures, and a manual for the specifics of each bike, this makes sense.

I checked the 2nd over pistons from Cruzinimage that are going in my original motor. .004 clearance for both on the oil control rings. My guess is that is what the ring manufacture wants.

I used Crusin's rings on my stock, standard size pistons two or three years ago. The top two rings were the same, and also bi-directional no top or bottom. The spacer ring didn't look as robust as the original and I was tempted to re-use, but didn't. Ring gaps were right in the middle of the spec out of the box. These rings press real tight against the cylinder wall and there is virtually no oil consumption.
